The butterfly experience will be invaluable for these young students. At PGS we strive to provide these opportunities for our students. The students will benefit from watching the caterpillars grow into beautiful butterflies and recalling from the text what they have previously learned. Our students have not had exposure to real life experiences, and these butterflies will provide them the opportunity to see live caterpillars turn into butterflies. After reading stories on caterpillars changing into butterflies, the students will be able to have the first-hand experience and understand the full process. This will be a great experience for educators and students! As teachers, we are excited to release the butterflies into our community garden in May!
