My goal is to inspire and instill the value of reading and writing. By making learning meaningful through photography, my hope is to have my kids love reading and writing by taking pictures of themselves, their families, and communities. We will use these photos to help us be excited as we practice the skills necessary to build a strong reading and writing foundation that will "create life-long learners". The kids will take these cameras home to capture their home lives and their communities. We will also use these cameras when we go on field trips in our community. After, we will use the photos to help us understand how to write in a meaningful way. As students take pictures, I will also have a deeper understanding of how they see themselves in our world.
