A document camera will increase my students' enthusiasm and provide them with an interactive learning experience. The document camera can be used for all subject areas. I most want the document camera to use for Reading and Writing. I'd be able to place a picture book, photo, or reading passage under the document camera as I read aloud to the class or model a reading strategy. For writing, I'd be able to project writing paper so that students can view handwriting demonstrations and I can model writing strategies, revising, and editing. The document camera is also a wonderful tool for sharing student work. I believe the use of a document camera in the classroom will allow me to engage my students in multiple ways.
