After much research and experience, I've witnessed the positive outcome of having chair bands and wobble cushions. Having these in my classroom will contribute to an extra successful school year.This opportunity will help my special needs students; especially those classified with ADD/ADHD, Autism and/or sensory needs. Most importantly, this project will benefit ALL the students. For some students, it will enrich their ability to stay focused for more then fifteen minutes. For others, it will enhance their focus throughout the entire day. The more focused they are, the more they can attain. Students should have the opportunity to have full movement within a classroom without distraction to the rest of their peers. That's exactly the environment I've proposed and want to expand on. These bands and wobbles will allow my students to remain seated yet have the opportunity to move and fidget all while working at their seats.
