I want to provide my students with ample opportunities to read more authentic Spanish books. As a first year dual-language teacher, I am starting my classroom library and would like to provide them with various texts, in Spanish and English. Promoting the literacy development in bilingual students allows them to develop in all other content areas. The oral development of the students is directly linked with their writing. The whisper phones will help with the oral development; they students will be able to do hear themselves while reading. They can use this while reading aloud or whispering during independent reading.
