My goal is to provide a comfortable learning environment for my students. Our classroom needs a spacious, common area where we can meet daily to read, work in math groups, have a morning meeting, and take part in whole-group discussions. I hope to have a classroom carpet to create this comfortable common space that my students need! The carpet will be utilized by my students on a daily basis and therefore, I want it to be a comfortable space where they are able to focus and do their best learning. We begin each day sitting in a circle for a morning meeting. During this time, each student is greeted and has the opportunity to share. It is a time for us to get focused and ready for what the day brings, while also building a classroom community. We hope to begin every day with morning meeting on our classroom carpet.
