My students will be using a variety of computer programs to help build reading and math skills. Many of the programs are tailored to the students individual learning levels, therefore each student needs a set of headphones for optimal learning to take place. Currently, the students do not have access to headphones which makes the computer programs hard for the students to use because they can not hear the tailored instruction. My project will make a difference in my students' learning because they will be able to participate in the different computer programs and make strides in their learning. By having headphones, my kindergarteners and first graders can learn the individual sounds that each letter makes and move on to letter blends to eventually learn how to read. My older students will use the headphones to help them close the gaps they have in the foundational reading skills they missed in early elementary grades.
