As an educator, I am responsible for appeasing to the various learning styles of about seventeen first graders. I am asking for the tablets to provide my students with the opportunity to work independently. With the addition of tablets in the classroom, it would be possible to create a more engaging lesson in a unique environment that could appeal to every learner. This technological advance will improve literacy and writing instruction in the classroom. My students will use the tablets in learning centers to develop skills such as decoding, fine motor skills, and phonemic awareness. In addition, the tablets will be utilized as a tool to create independent digital projects. As some of the children do not have access to these resources at home, the tablets in class would give them the opportunity to improve their technological skills. Tablets would be a huge development in my classroom. I strongly believe these authentic experiences will satisfy my first graders' unique minds, while preparing them for the future.
