Having Kindle Fire tablets will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. The Kindles will be used for independent work while I am working with one or two students in a small group. I can assign a reading or writing task on the tablet. Another way they will be used is by listening to books while they track the words. The sky is the limit in what my students can do with technology. My project will make a difference because my students will greatly benefit from technology in the classroom. Our classrooms are not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learners. This grant will help to close that gap just a little bit more.
