Scholastic News will be used daily for my students to read and discuss during our Morning Meeting time and independent reading time. I will add each Scholastic News to a binder to keep in our classroom library. Students then can take their copy home to share with their family. The donations to this project will open up the world to students who often don't travel outside their town. Each year I'm always amazed when many of my students think 20 minutes outside of town is the "city" or so far away. By growing readers, I know their world can expand and provide possibilities for them. I can't wait to see their excitement as their very own Scholastic News arrives!
