Many of the students that are in my classroom are lower-performing students who need more 1:1 ratio versus 1:30 ratio. Having the ability to do mini-group projects with my students will help me to gather real-time data with formative assessment and to make sure that they are understanding the standards. Mini-white boards are key formative assessment tools that math teachers use to gage understanding and to make sure what has just been taught was learned by the students in real time. Most of my students come from single family houses that need extra help and lack the ability to provide towards their education. This will be great because it will help us to do a lot with progress monitoring and tracking growth of our students.
