These books will be used to help our students feel connected to their classmates and their school. Many of my students are new to the country and I have chosen books that mirror their experiences. I want my students to feel that they are not alone in what they are going through as they adjust to their new life. These books will change lives! They will allow my students to connect and grow with one another. I will read these books to my students during morning meeting and we will discuss the impact they have and the memories they bring back. I hope for a lively classroom connection! We will learn that it is okay to be different and we will celebrate our diversity!
