These materials will help my students be able to reach developmental milestones that occur at this age. They will have access to writing paper for fine motor skills. They will have manipulatives to help them visualize and understand math instead of conceptualizing it in their head, which is hard in the first grade. The binding machine will allow me to make and send home packets for students instead of posting worksheets online. Writing on an iPad is not the same as holding a pencil and using fine motor skills to complete work. These materials are going to motivate my students and keep them engaged Many of them don't have access to paper at home and feel discouraged participating in activities in which theses materials are required.
