Our classroom carpet will be used to create a safe learning community for my students. We will begin and end the day here with our morning meeting and closure circles to help build social skills and support emotional well being. Throughout the day we will gather as we dive into the math, literacy, science, and social studies curriculum. Only when a student feels safe can true learning occur. Our classroom carpet will be a comfortable place for learning. Rotating between the desks and carpet throughout the school day will keep my students' minds feeling safe, alert, and ready to learn.
