I am the lead teacher of the Discovery Zone which includes our school Makerspace. Students are encouraged to discover, create and experiment in this space! It is an extension of the regular grade level classrooms. My students range in age from 5-14 years old and come from communities from around Stanly County. They are a diverse group of students from rural areas with various backgrounds and socioeconomic levels. As the Digital Media Facilitator, I work with all teachers at all grade levels to teach inclusively using various forms of media and technology. I basically teach on the go!
