Our school has recently adopted the Lucy Caulkins Reading Units of Study. What this means is that my students are reading many, many books at their specific level. I have students that read from a beginning level of A all the way to Z+. The lower level readers needs lots and lots of books to read. We have just started our second unit which uses nonfiction books. I just don't have enough lower level books to provide my readers the the amount of books that they need.
