My students need bean bag chairs and times to meet their educational and behavioral needs. Teaching students who are at various levels academically and behaviorally can be challenging. With your generous donation I'll be able to give my students with special needs the best instruction possible and create a cool down corner. My students require instruction that is tailored to development of socially and behaviorally age appropriate coping and regulation skills. By using the bean bag chairs and timers, students will be able to use a cool down corner to help develop and use self advocacy and coping skills. These skills will help them deal with big emotions they may come across throughout the year. Developing behaviorally and socially is just as important as developing academically in today's world! Development of the WHOLE child is the most important in my classroom! My students are energetic and benefit from being able to make choices. They benefit from different types of seating so they can feel comfortable while learning. With new resources my students will receive instruction that is individualized based on each of their needs.
