These seating options will be a great addition to the flexible seating choices available in our classroom. My students will use these items when they are working in groups and/or while independently reading from their reading baskets. I want my students to have the option each morning of picking their seating or space for the day rather than just a chair at a table. Not all students learn the same way, so expecting all students to sit in a chair when they would rather stand, sit on a stool, or sit on the floor, etc. creates a stressful environment that does not allow them to achieve their full potential. These stools and new rug would allow students to sit in their own comfortable area while they strive to complete the demands of the school day.
