Our students need all things sensory in order to thrive and be successful in our classroom. Our sensory area needs a lot of help, with the ability to use the pea pod, chairs and ball chairs our students will gain the sensory input necessary to be able to attend to all things academic. Many of the students in the class have low muscle tone so allowing for them to create the alphabet in a more hands on way will not only strengthen the use of their muscles, but will ultimately ensure learning is productive and steady. Its simply a two for one when it comes down to it! We are giving the body and the brain the tools they need to thrive and expand.
