Last year, I went through pair after pair of (cheap) headphones, in my computer center. My students need their online reading practice to bring them up to level. By purchasing 10 pairs of high quality headphones, my students will be better engaged in their on-line learning. My students tend to enjoy their iReady time, and always eager to take their turn at the computer center. A frequent complaint from my students was, "I can't hear the program!" and the cause would vary from broken headphones, only one earphone working... Interrupted computer time, is learning lost, and teaching lost, as I have to stop my teaching activity or small group to try to "fix" the issue.
