Reading is an essential part of every day life. I want students to feel enjoyment while reading and not feel as if it is a chore. In order to foster a thriving reading environment, I want to begin by creating a comfortable reading environment. By having two chairs in my class reading nook, students will be able to grab a book and a reading buddy (a furry stuffed animal!) and cozy up in a comfy chair. Other students will be able to grab a stability cushion and find a chair or a spot around the room to sit and put their nose in a book. The stability cushions will help wiggly students release their wiggles in a settle way, while still reading! By giving students the opportunity to choose a comfortable reading seat, I hope that they will feel comfortable to dive into a book. My students and I would be so thankful for your donation to help us grow as readers!
