Currently in my STEM classes, I use the calculator in my head to do almost all of our calculations for temperature, distance, time and population growth. I can do them faster than the kids can get their phones out, but we are trying to reduce phone usage during instruction to an absolute minimum. I also teach Physical Science as needed, and have to borrow calculators before class and give them back after class. I do, we do, you do is our teaching mantra. If the students do not have access to the equipment, it is just an 'I do, we do' situation, and 'you do' is left hanging. Please help me fund this project to complete the 'you do' part of the teacher-student contract!.. Thank you!
