My students are awesome! I have learned a lot from them. They are those kids that people have decided that they cannot learn because they have learning disabilities. We are with each other all day everyday so, they are really reliant upon a teacher that is invested in their education. I am invested in teaching my students to read, write and complete basic mathematical operations. My students struggle with reading. Most are reading on a Kindergarten to 1st grade level. I hope to increase my students reading skills at least by one grade level during the school year. I get to have them for two short school years so I have to invest in material to reach this goal. I love this population of students. I get to see growth and I enjoy watching them when they have that moment when things connect. I want to introduce novel studies to my students, on their reading level. I want them to explore the world of books.
