Kindergarten literacy center time is crucial to developing great readers and writers! At the Listening center, students are able to hear a book being read while they turn the pages and view the pictures. Since my students have not yet mastered reading, this center is the best way to get them excited about books and reading! Read Alouds bring stories to life! Learning to read can be a challenge, but sparking an interest is half the battle! The cd players for our new listening center will help to build vocabulary, especially for my English Language Learners. In the words of Dr. Seuss, "The more that you read, the more things you will know!"
