My students love to read. These books will allow them to have a great range of books to choose from. They range from Civics, Geography, Economics, and Politics. Allowing students to choose what they read is very empowering. I want to provide ample choices for them to enjoy what they are reading while learning important information. In this collection, there will be a book/group project that will focus on Civil Rights. At their age, they have a lot of questions about how people are treated. I feel that this project will open good dialogue about the rights of people today compared to the rights of people before the Civil Rights movement.
