My sweet group of 6 and 7 year old firsties are energetic and excited to learn, especially to learn to read! Because of their developmental age, frequent movement is essential to foster their learning. I work hard to find a variety of ways to include activities and movement that can enhance their ability to not only learn, but enjoy the process of learning. Most of my students come from lower income families. I try very hard to enhance our classroom with technology and extra activities they most likely don't have access to at home. Our classroom is their home away from home and a place I want them to come excited to learn!
