My students are located in a rural, high-poverty area of North Carolina; our school is extremely large but we do our best to support the arts. With over 800 students, it can be difficult to fund all the supplies that are consumed every year. However, my students love art, and I love helping them to embrace their creative sides and become comfortable experimenting and making mistakes. Making art is all about the growth mindset!
