Technology has become such an important part of any classroom, and the gym should be no exception. Kids are using various technologies in their other classrooms and I would like to integrate the use of more technology in PE. The students can use this, InFocus JTouch INF5701 57 LED display, technology to view videos of examples of sportsmanship, various sports, and different movements that we will be learning in class. Nutrition and health lessons will also be easier to present to the students with the use of this technology. This display will also be used to keep up with classroom management through classroom dojo. Students can see how many dojo points their class has earned and encourage one another to do their best. A visual reminder each day will help students to work towards classroom and individual goals. The goal is to get the students to be active and growing in their physical education and technology is a great way to get creative with this process. The students will be able to use the Wii that we already have for PE on this display to play various Wii sports and dance programs. The mobile cart stand will allow us to easily move the display when not being used. The use of these technology resources will enhance the effectiveness of lessons and provide another resource in class to get active, learn, and have fun.
