My students need iPads in order to explore the alphabet, letter recognition, reading ebooks and writing during learning center time in our classroom. My students will use these iPads to explore and connect their learning through all of the wonderful games and apps I will program into the them. These iPads will be a fantastic popular addition to the rotations in our classroom during learning center time. Technology is definitely a very important part of learning in the kindergarten classroom. The students will utilize the iPads throughout the entire school day, not only in literacy and reading but in math, science, and social studies as well. The iPads are child-friendly, and all of the apps are geared toward the skills and standards the students need to know to be successful in kindergarten. These iPads will help the kindergartners grow and learn through the use of teacher approved learning apps. These apps will allow students to further their learning beyond paper-pencil materials and enable them to have technology in their hands. These tablets will allow for learning to be differentiated to each student's needs and enable them to continue learning through play! The students will be able to have access to the iPads all year instead of just a few months out of the year with the district provided materials. Students will be able to experience a wide range of learning and enthusiasm in the classroom!
