This year my students are from the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade, more girls then boys. Three of them are in the project's posted picture. They are all good kids, excellent students who do their best to achieve their academic goals. Several have a very limited English backgrounds and a few live in and out of public shelters. They all like to express themselves creatively, especially with pictures, mostly photos. Some have told me that because I am also a photographer they want to do photo work as well as be part of the school's yearbook and year end photo presentation team. The school I teach in is a public inner city elementary school grades PreK-5. It is located in an economically disadvantaged section of The Bronx. It is entitled to title 1 and title 3 grant money but is still underfunded. The budget is a yearly issue . The school has 541 students of multi-ethnic backgrounds form many different countries
