Although we are in a time where everything is virtual, and students have access to books online, there is no substitute for a book in a child's hand. I am asking for donations to help build my classroom library. The books on my donation list are all highly enriched books that will help my students learn how to read. Reading is fundamental for any child in order to learn. At the middle school level, if a child does not know how to read, it will affect their performance and grades in other subjects. This will lead to behavior problems and the possibility of dropping out of school. Students have to learn to read in order to read to learn. Through high quality books, my students will learn to read.
