This is a resource room at Ocean Beach Elementary. Currently, over 20 students use this room for extra help with phonics, math, writing, and reading. We also use the room for lunch bunch so we can improve our social skills. At least two aides also come in the room to support students. IEP's are also held in this room with parents and school staff. We need to keep a wide range of reading materials available as well as many math manipulatives. We also have chrome books and the Promethean board to assist with student learning. Sometimes there are two to three groups learning at once in this room. It is an exciting place to be. This resource room is also a place where students can go when they need some down time. It is a place where they can calm down and then return to their regular classroom.
