I teach in a technology driven classroom. My students learn basic computer skills and internet safety through teacher-created and online instructional videos. Because more than one student can view these videos at once, the noise level in our classroom can be pretty high. To reduce this, I try to present the videos in whole group. But not al students learn at the same pace, many need to pause or view these multiple times. Providing each child with their own set of headphones will allow them to view the instructional videos as many times as they need, and at their own pace. Our entire school shares one printer/copy machine which is located in the teacher's lounge. This makes the printing of student work and needed resources pretty tricky. Having a printer in our classroom will facilitate group STEM and art projects.
