As I begin my journey to conquer the 2020-2021 school year with distance learning, I immediately think of ways to help my students on a daily basis. This year I will be teaching middle school math online, so I want to be able to minimize any "math" stress that students may have while not being at school. By having an iPad, I will be able to confidently say that students will be able to have more of a classroom experience by watching me guide them through the math steps. By having an iPad and Apple pencil, I can use the technology to engage with students with visuals and allow for more participation, by having opportunity to view, copy, and write down notes while distance learning. These materials will allow me to demonstrate the math process for my students and take photos to upload later for their reference. Similarly to how I would use paper in the classroom, I could color-code notes and show them step-by-step instructions on how to solve math problems. I put so much importance on visual aids for my students to make learning more effective. Students will be able to focus on the academic work, instead of worrying about not being in a classroom. This will help students build confidence while learning from home! I have so many plans and visions on how I will include an iPad in my daily lesson plans!! Thank you so much for your support!
