After a group reading of a biography of Helen Keller, my students clamored for more biographies and nonfiction historical texts. To satisfy this hunger, I have personally purchased a handful of books for their consumption. I am now asking for assistance in obtaining sets of the Who Was / Who Is /What Is biographies and texts for my students. My students love to read these biographies that provide the inspirational stories of the past they need to become the inventors, role models and leaders we need in the future. A more complete set of these texts would give my students many choices to explore these favorite genres in my classroom.
