I am requesting new strings for cellos and string basses. The strings on their instruments are old an need to be replaced. Part of instrument maintenance requires strings to be replaced every 6 months to a year for optimum sound. Replacing the strings will make the instruments sound better, make the instruments easier to play, and make everyone's time in the orchestra a better experience. The new strings will replace strings that are too old and have gone false and will ensure my students enjoy learning to play their instruments well. Many of my students are economically disadvantaged. My hope is that they find great value in the music they make and feel safe to express themselves in the orchestra and have a very fulfilling and rewarding experience.
