Let's face it...our bodies are not designed to sit still in chairs for 8 hours a day. Traditional classroom seating does not allow flexibility for students who may need more sensory input throughout the day. Flexible seating allows a student to chose how they will work best. Maybe that's laying on the floor with a clipboard, bouncing on a exercise ball, or wiggling on a stool at a table. Allowing students to have more control over their work environment only increases their learning opportunities because they feel more comfortable in their body and space. Flexible seating makes for flexible minds!

About my class
