Students will get more individualized learning through online programs that assess and teach according to each child's performance. We do tons of research as a class. I want the children to leave with an appreciation of the world around us and know that there is more to Earth than the little town in which they live. Having iPads will help them get the exposure of places, animals, and things most of my students will never get to see in person. When we get the opportunity, the rest of the first grade team and I invite guests from other continents or parts of the U.S. to extend beyond the research.
