The STEM Kit materials will encourage students to use math and science skills to solve real-world problems, which will enable the students to experience the trial and error method to come up with creative solutions. These are skills that students will use throughout all areas of life. Instead of worksheets, students will be engaged in hands-on differentiated learning. Furthermore, the STEM activities contained in this kit will give students practice in working as a team. Teamwork is an important asset in school as well as in the “real world”. STEM activities in this kit will give my students to not only apply higher level thinking, but will provide an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity using art and/or design. Thanks to your generous donation, my students will have the opportunity to learn to think critically, problem-solve, and experience real-world activities!
