With our subscription to Scholastic Scope, my 8th graders will be exposed to everything from current events, to history, to plays and more! I have used Scope in the past with a lot of success. The variety of texts and activities within each monthly issue guarantees students will not get bored. They will look forward to seeing what each new month's magazine has to offer. Many times we are able to make connections to other texts we are reading in class. The shorter text length means the students are not so intimidated, and some of the activities make for great test prep!
