This August, I am expecting 30-35 5th graders in my classroom. My student's school is located in the Northwest Las Vegas valley. Much like many of the other schools in the Las Vegas area, my students come from very diverse backgrounds. They come to school eager to learn and interact with their peers each day. As a first year teacher, my goal is to create an environment where my students are supported in their various learning styles. I would love for my classroom to be full of hands-on resources and books for my students to support their learning, so I have spent much of my own money purchasing items this summer. Because my school is located in an area that is not socioeconomically challenged, I do not have the benefit of grant money or Title I funding and this website will be very helpful in helping me reach my goals!
