One smaller rug will be used in the library area to provide an inviting and cozy reading space for my fourth graders. Reading can sometimes be a challenge for students so it is my goal to create a reading an environment that makes students want to read. The larger rug will be used in the center of the class for things such as morning meeting and whole class discussions. One important aspect of teaching is creating a classroom community. By having a new clean rug to use, I can hold morning meetings every day to ensure a positive classroom community.
