My students come from all different backgrounds. As a first year teacher last year, I walked with them through not only their educational journey, but their personal one as well. I want to create flexible seating in my classroom to help my students learn in a way that is comfortable for them. We created such an amazing classroom culture last year and I believe it can be done again and that flexible seating will only enhance that. My classroom is a place for my students to learn, and learning comes from feeling safe and respected in the classroom. I think creating an environment for kids to be able to sit wherever they want will do just that.
