There are many times in a students' life that getting out of their desk is the greatest reward a teacher can offer. Having fun, colorful seating for centers, one on one instruction or just private reading time is going to make reading a priority in my classroom. When reading is a priority in the classroom, it can be integrated into any subject and students will become better readers as a result. Students will also work on emergent reading and writing skills while sitting in their new "Fun" chairs. Students will want to read, not just sit in these chairs. Students will also work with each other on their new reading skills having a profound effect on their reading ability.

About my class
