I am requesting flexible seating, including active chairs, wobble chairs, bouncy bands and exercise balls for my students to allow them to have a choice for a comfortable environment where they can do their best learning. Flexible seating will give my students ownership of their learning and create an enjoyable space that creates a positive classroom community. Flexible seating will also meet the needs of students that NEED to move; they aren't confined to a chair and desk. Another good thing about flexible seating is, if one seating option isn't working for them, they can always try another. We are all lifelong learners and part of the learning process is figuring out what works best for us! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
