My students are brilliant, passionate, and curious learners. They make unique observations and are interested to learn about the world around them. They are part of a bilingual classroom, so they use Spanish and English. They can use both languages to communicate with each other and in academics. As a first year teacher in a second grade bilingual classroom, I need to use a lot of resources and materials in Spanish. While there are abundant materials for the classroom in English, there are limited materials in Spanish and it can be costly. I want my students to have access to materials in Spanish and most of all, I want to give my students the opportunity to shine!
