My classroom is my happy place, I get to see 29 wonderful smiling faces each day. I work with a group of amazing second, third and fourth graders who happen to struggle with reading. As a Teacher on Special Assignment at a Dual Language Immersion school, it's my job to foster a love for reading for struggling readers. It's a challenge to encourage reading for students who have struggled to read and think they can't learn to read. Yet with persistent encouragement, they build the confidence to try and learn from their mistakes. Once my students believe they can, as much as I do, they take off with their reading development. It's amazing to see them light up to tell me about the latest book they just read. Thank you to all of my past supporters and future ones too. Your generosity has impacted each of our lives in ways you can not imagine!
