My students come from Bangladesh, Vietnam, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Guatemala, Iraq and Puerto Rico. Some arrived to the United States last year, one arrived two weeks ago and one today. They are from low income families. They range from no English to a level 2/3. Our school services 3-8 74% of our school population is considered low income, therefore my students get free lunches. This is an urban school where most children arrive to school on a bus.
