As a special education teacher working in a Title 1 school, I work with amazing children who are learning to love coming to school every day. I currently work with grades 2 and 5 and teach social-emotional learning, reading comprehension, written expression, math problem solving & calculation, behavior, and social skills. Every child, regardless of race, poverty, family circumstances, or trauma deserve an enriched, culturally responsive, and accessible education. My students are some of our countries strongest tiny humans. Every day these students amaze me and others with their strength, their resilience, their hardwork, and their mindset towards reaching their dreams.
