Hello Donors Choose! I currently teach 6th grade English in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District in Newburgh, NY. My classroom is at Heritage Middle School. I have 101 students from diverse backgrounds of all cultures, heritages, and religions. Although our school has some incredible honors and advanced classes/programs; many of our students come from low income families. 27% Black or African American 44% Hispanic or Latino 2% Asian or Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander 26% White As of 2012 56% percent of students were eligible for free lunch and 10% qualified for reduced price lunch. 14% of students are considered "Limited English Proficient" Please help me help them, we are not asking for much!
